Executive Summary
In this episode of Databytes Enabling AI – Prowess Consulting, host Rahul Nawab sits down with Sam Guerrieri to talk about building client trust as AI reshapes financial services.
Sam believes that AI hasn’t changed the importance of trust, only raised the stakes. Trust is earned in the moments that matter most to clients and their families. He shares his “trust, but check” approach to keeping a human in the loop. He also explains how AI note-taking lets advisors stay “heads up” with clients, and how CNB plans to turn client life events into intentional moments of hospitality.
The conversation covers how community banks can use AI to level the playing field with big banks, why success should be measured in created capacity and client confidence rather than efficiency alone, and why the “non-money spouse” matters in the great wealth transfer. Sam closes with advice for financial professionals: be there when clients need you most, and build real AI proficiency to stay relevant.
About Same Guerrieri
Sam Guerrieri is Executive Vice President at Canandaigua National Bank, where he leads Wealth Management and Marketing. He oversees the bank’s wealth brands, including wealth management, trust services, insurance and investment planning solutions.
